About
A photographer who walks first
and shoots second.
I'm Vika, a photographer based in New York. I work mostly in available light, on foot, and prefer the kind of frames that don't announce themselves.
My background is in documentary and street photography. Over the last several years I've built a quiet practice around personal stories — neighborhoods, families, the slow choreography of weekday afternoons. The work is editorial in feeling: restrained, observed, a little bit literary.
I take on a small number of client projects each season — editorial assignments, brand stories that need a documentary eye, and personal sessions for people who want photographs that look like their actual lives.
Approach
- Available light. No flash unless the story asks for it.
- Few setups, long sessions. Conversation first, camera second.
- Tight edits. You get the frames worth keeping, not the contact sheet.

Email is the best way to reach me. For sessions, the booking page has live availability.
